CYPRESS PURCHASES TORAKIT CONVERTIBLE LOAN AGREEMENT.

December 1, 2009, Amanta Resources Ltd. announces that Cypress Consulting Services Inc., a private company controlled by Gerald Wright, President of Amanta has agreed with Torakit Investments Ltd. to acquire the convertible loan agreement between Torakit and Amanta dated January 5, 2009.  The principal amount of the loan is $1,000,000 and is repayable on or before January 5, 2012. The loan bears interest at Canadian prime rate plus 2% per annum, payable quarterly in advance. 

The principal amount of the loan may be converted into a total of up to 10,000,000 common shares of Amanta at a deemed price of $0.10 per share.  The conversion of the loan is restricted such that the number of shares issued on exercise or conversion cannot result in Cypress acquiring 20% or greater of the number of Listed Shares of Amanta.

Amanta Resources Ltd. is focused on copper exploration, development and production in Laos.  The Company is currently developing the Luang Namtha copper project in the Lao PDR, under a Joint Exploration Agreement with Japan Oil, Gas and Metal National Corporation (JOGMEC). Amanta also has gold and tungsten projects in Thailand.
